The Residence Permit is a valid legal document for long-term stay in China for Foreign Experts which is put on a passport page. Residence Permit is valid for up to three year once it is issued (based on one’s contract), and multiple entries are allowed during this period.

Foreign Experts are required to submit the following documents within 30 days of entry to the Division of Exit-Entry Administration Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau:

1.Original and copy of Passport and Visa

2.Application code

3.Residence Permit Application Form(filled out by the forgign affair office)

4.Registration Form of Temporary Residence for Visitors

5.The Origina and copy of Foreign Expert Certificate

6. In-Service certificate

7.Birth Certificates and Marriage Certificate are required if the Foreign Expert has any accompanying family members (children under 18 years old and spouses. Please note that legalization by Chinese Embassies or Consulates in applicants’ country is mandatory)

8.Digital Photo of barcode for applying visa and recipt

9.Health Certificate issued by the Exit and Entry Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Guangdong
